Embrace the 3AM Rule and Command your Day

The 3am rule is in effect this morning. It's 3:05am as I am writing this entry. Last night I started reading this book that was recommended to me by a friend called "The Power of Decision" by Raymond Barker. I started skimming through the book until I ran across a couple of things that interested me. Page 106 stood out to me regarding his definition of prosperity. Most people equate prosperity with money, but I like the fact that he believes, like I do, that having the ability to do what you want to do the instant that you want to do it is prosperity. Living a full life on your own terms. Having the ability to be free at all times is priceless. Never give up your freedom. You have to make a decision to do that. You have to be willing to go without sometimes. Sacrifice for a while to get your freedom. The power of the 3am rule is to control more of your time in ways the average thinker would never consider. Get up and read and write. Do research and plan out how you are gonna execute your ideas. Form a new routine. Move away from average thinking. Empower yourself by your use of time. I got in bed at 7pm last night after I ate dinner. I decided that I was going to start going to bed early, even if I don't fall asleep right away. Dick Gregory said we die early from a lack of sleep and dehydration so I decided to make this a new practice. I drink two large cups of coffee a day, so I need to drink plenty of water because coffee definitely dehydrates the body. I am reigniting my walking regimen this week too. I am glad you are reading my thoughts about the 3am rule. I am happy when I am in control of my time. When you get up at 3am, you are not at a deficit. You are in the driver's seat. You can get in front of everything on your agenda. You can knock out a work project in the next three hours from 3am-6am and have more time for creativity. More time to think and be alone with yourself. While everyone else is in rush mode, you can cruise. Your work is done. The heavy lifting is done. Use the 3am rule to knock out your most pressing issue of the day so you can get it off your plate. The more you practice the 3am rule, the more you will be able to determine with clarity the outcome of your work. Remember, how you use the 3am rule is creatively your call. Once a week, two or three times a week, or every day. It's your call, but use it to your advantage and you will advance in your productivity chain. Ambitious people need the 3am rule!
