What is the 3 AM Rule about? Part 1

A Brief Explanation of How I Use the 3 AM Rule I used this as an experiment back in the early 2000s when I was doing morning radio in Charlotte, NC. I have always been an early riser, with my normal report time being 4:30 am, so I said to myself, "Why not be the first morning man in the city to be at the radio station every morning?" If I recall, I was actually at work at 3 am, so that means I was up way earlier than that. I would get my coffee at Denny's on the way in, continue my trip to South Blvd, and look over at the skyline and say, "This is my city." It really gave me a sense of pride being there and making sure the show was going to be successful that morning. Does the 3 AM rule have to be used every day? Yes, And why not? If I wanted to, why not? But you don't have to. I just want to encourage people to wake up earlier and create an unfair advantage every day. While your competitor is at home sleeping, you are up and working, and it will pay off. This blog is about the inspiration and self-development that will take place using the 3 AM rule every day if you like, or on specific days you choose. I want to share with you how I have used this time of beginning my work at 3 AM to my advantage in my career.
